Distinct Society is the brainchild of Montreal based composer/arranger Robert Marchand.Well versed in composing music for multiple media, the need to write "absolute" music as opposed to "program" music was manifesting itself quite urgently. Though it can't really be defined because of the variety of styles,the common point in this band's music is it's variety of styles...No, but seriously, all the tunes sport this infectious groove and some of them have cool guitar parts.What more can one ask for?
Tongue in cheek also comes to mind when listening to these songs.So they're supposed to be fun and ,as life itself, not be taken too seriously!!

Came back for another listen...
My favorite at the moment is Define Absence
I like music that has a sort of physical quality to it and this feels like architecture.
Love the vocals and treatments.
